NYC mayor has now changed from awareness of climate change to actionable. Will this lead to other states or major cities doing the same thing? At this time, I doubt it. We have now seen that money and politics play an insidious game. The power of the city in the hands of a few, and the foundation of a city being ignored to keep profits high. 

The end result, damage to infrastructure being ignored.

But now, with a seemingly waking community, people are getting involved. Forcing the incredulous politicians to take long overdue action.

So, we will see what happens. I suspect in the next decade or less…emphasis on less, that there will be an increased budget demand for climate change mitigation. But, I fear it is too late, and the end result is that people will be forced to move further in land.
