Back to the future
Yes I know, it is a tacky title, but technically, a title can be used without getting sued. And as most people today know, society at large in most 1st level countries, are fast with being litigious even if they loose, they want easy money.
But that is actually very much the truth about being in Germany now. Germany was and is a very culturally focused contract society. I wish I would have known this before I moved, but back in those early days my mind was not able to process a year down the line. Germany has been doing that for a very long time.
When I first arrived in Germany, people were still people, but..there were a few different holidays, and learning German was surprisingly hard. In fact, from what I have now realized, German is one of the more difficult languages to learn.
Then there is the career issue, or jobs in general. This subject is nuanced!
Then the politics. It is not like the USA, in fact, Germany is not even democratic by definition.
Like I said, there is a lot to talk about, and explain.
