The number of stories that I have been able to share with the people reading this blog is starting to decrease. The reason for that is things are now stuck in a repetitive loop. There really isn't any good news to share. There are small stories of people having good days or bad days, but major events—such as a new store opening, a business expanding, somebody improving their credit, or someone creating a new trend across Germany—are simply not happening.

Instead, there is news of more economic constriction. There is news of more companies automating certain sections. Unemployment is beginning to rise further and further. Hospitals are becoming increasingly financially constrained, and the federal government is intentionally reducing the amount of funding they receive.

Speaking of rising unemployment, within the next two to three years, there is likely going to be a tightening or reduction in the amount of money people receive while unemployed. While there is a constitutional right guaranteeing a basic standard of living for Germans and legal residents, tax revenues are shrinking so much that the government is struggling to fund payouts for the massive wave of upcoming retirees. Meanwhile, the younger generation is producing fewer workers to support this system, and the federal government has found no way to resolve the crisis. The end result is that we are heading into a financial gridlock with no clear answer.

To make matters worse, investment within Germany is also declining. Major international corporations are withdrawing their capital from the German industrial complex, and many people fear that politicians are intentionally harming Germany’s business ecosystem.

I’ve said all of this in a couple of previous posts, which is why there really isn't much to report other than repeating information. Unfortunately, I suspect this may be the last blog I write for a little while—unless some positive news comes along. I am concerned that within the next one to two years, if I do not land a job soon, I may have to leave Germany due to complex legal issues regarding my right to remain. In the meantime, I am trying to start a small computer repair business here. If I can't find a job, then I'm damn sure going to try to create one.
